College Heights
Situated on Bell Street, just up from Glasgow's High Street, the first phase of College Heights was completed a few years ago and provides the foundation for the more ambitious and eye catching second phase on the north side.
With phase one having 52 residential units and the planned second phase having 56 apartments, then when complete some 100 plus well-designed and complemtentary flats will provide a comfortable and attractive base for city centre living.
Within a short walk of Strathclyde University and City of Glasgow College, College Heights will be well placed to cater for undergraduates and educational linked inhabitants.
A slightly more brisk walk takes you to the centre of Glasgow itself - to George Square and Queen Street station, the busiest station, especially for communters, in Glasgow.
Close by on the Trongate and Argyle Street, is a large Marks and Spencers; closer still to College Heights is a Morrisons supermarket and Tesco Metro to serve everyday shopping needs. The eclectic and lively bars and cafes of the Merchant City are on the very doorstep of College Heights.
The construction of College Heights will take place during 2016, allowing for a spring of 2017 release.
The 56 flats will be a mixture of one, two and three bedrooms, providing a broad based spectrum of residential options.
There will be a considerable amount of parking available, at a modest cost, and we at Grant Stafford can see a strong demand, both from those who would like to enjoy the benefits of living and owning in Glasgow's city centre and from inestors who can see the long term benefits and growing customer base.
To add to the benefit of College Heights, there will be a significant commercial element of office space, (ideal for architects, for example, or graphic designers) which will have a modern, light, uncluttered design and that will add a variety and energy to the Bell Street project.
